Ashbringer Zangetsu - Amalgamation Design

I always enjoy combining elements from different interests in my life, so I decided to blend together video games with my anime addictions.

Now if you've ever played WoW (and I'm sure many of you have at least tried it), one of the MOST popular and legendary weapons in the game is the Ashbringer. In fact, the sword became so popular, its lore spunoff a 4 part comic series to explain its significance for the then-upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Now in anime, there are tons of swords that garner plenty of fanboy attention, but somehow I felt that Ichigo's zanpakuto, Zangetsu, from Bleach held the title for the most recognizably unique of them all. Its so simple, but so frightening at the same time.

So, I merged them into this crazy design shown above. Highlighting a few key components: the guard uses a very stylized version of the manji from Tensa Zangetsu, influenced with aspects of the "Lordaeron" guard from the Ashbringer. The blade is sorta a triple cross between the Bankai and Shikai Zangetsu blades, and the Ashbringer's broader and more angled blade. And of course, the stone along the reverse of the blade, which on Ashbringer is the legendary object that gives it its power, has been replaced with what I felt was its symbolic counterpart; Ichigo's substitute shinigami badge (which recieved alot more significance in the recent manga arcs).

So yea, a bit long winded in my description, but I'm hoping to do more weapon amalgamations in the future. Feel free to send me feedback.
