Naruto OC - Sarutobi Juushiro - Design Reboot

It really boggles my mind that I created this character nearly 4 years ago. Since then though, I’ve been completely guilty of jumping the shark in my treatment of his design. Clothes are one thing since those are always subject to revision (at least partially so), but when the fundamental physical characteristics begin to deviate, then you really need to reel it back and do a creative audit.

I mean if you look at my gallery, he went from a pretty unique looking kid with spiky hair, and a sardonic looking attitude into a sort of pre-eminent, pseudo-clone of AU Sasuke from the “Road to Ninja” movie. Yeah my art style improved as I updated Shiro’s appearance, but slowly he started losing consistency.

So what does that mean? It means a fresh overhaul back to the status quo.

And just so were all clear here, hes a teenager, age 16. Hes not a jounin and hes not AU like some of my most recent depictions. This is a full, day-one reboot. Fresh start baby!

First, say bye-bye emo haircut; welcome back original swept-forward dew - no idea why I changed that part of him before. No more bandages on the left arm (an unused backstory element that my fanfic never got to-utterly pointless now). Instead, I added a pair of functional gloves to work off the fact his taijutsu is a form of super-strength boxing. Most of his clothing and equipment is fairly consistent from before, I just put in some finer details, and added some additional functionality to the look.

And his knife is back, wooooo! I still don’t know why I removed it…I mighta been on painkillers, I dunno lol.

So yea, whats does everyone think?

PS: I'm still debating whether or not I will continue my fanfic, rewrite it, or start a new one. Its been YEARS since I even touched it, so Im not sure what I want to do. Hell, if anybody wants to use Shiro in their own story, please feel free. If you do, link it, I'd love to read it.
