Green Lantern Kyle Rayner- Concept 2014

Its been a while since I've uploaded anything, and thats mostly my fault. I've actually done quite a bit of artwork over the last few months, but have just been hesitant to upload it. Its primarily my own criticism of my work and not feeling like it was ready for posting, even thought its much better than any of my previous stuff.

I did this revision of Kyle Rayner's Green Lantern uniform recently, just as a way for me to see if I could create a cool costume for Halloween. I realized it was possible to do, but I ran out of time and settled for a more mediocre hipster Frankenstein costume. Dont ask lol

Anyway, I wanted to make something unique, with the most evident change being the lack of a ring. Instead, I thought it would be cool to have a fragment of the Green Element embedded in his right fist, making the powers more integrated. I was never a fan of how losing a ring instantly neutered one of the most powerful heroes on earth, so I sought to fix it. The effect of his hand I got from the effects done for Electro from Amazing Spiderman 2. From there, I just incorporated elements of previous designs, but with better more accurate treatment in execution.

I thought adding lantern emitters on his left arm would add an extra coolness factor too
